I used Abay Iron and Metal Works to restore and repair a metal staircase in the back of my house in NE DC. T was exceptional to work with--personable, honest, and fairly priced. He went out of his way to meet in person to create the estimate. He was honest about the scope of work, and explained why certain options would cost much more. His estimate was highly competitive. Work was completed as promised over two days and was done at superior quality. The staircase looks brand new, with clean welding on the new landing, all rust spots scraped, and the unit professionally painted. T and his crew cleaned up completely and did little things like ensuring the gate was shut when they left. Overall, a top tier, local, small business that I would definitely hire again for future metal and welding needs!

T and his team at Abay are amazing! We heard about his work on Nextdoor and asked for a bid on a folding iron and wood gate for the back of a rowhouse property. From start to finish, the level of professionalism was outstanding. We received our bid quickly and while we waited out the winter to get the work done, when we were ready, Abay was able to fit us in. "T" from Abay Ironworks designed, fabricated and installed a set of stainless steel hand rails for the rear exterior stairs of our Capitol Hill row home. The quality of the materials and workmanship -- and the timeliness of the installation -- were all superb. This was the third time I used Abay Ironworks for a home improvement project and their service and professionalism were top-notch each time. I cannot recommend Abay Ironworks highly enough.
