Cook's Fence & Iron
Cook's Fence & Awning was established in 1949 by Dick O. Cook. When WWII ended, Mr. Cook returned to Oklahoma after serving as a welding instructor in the shipyards of San Diego. During the three decades he was in business, Mr. Cook earned a reputation for having honesty, quality workmanship, and competitive prices. Bill and Frank had been partners in Meridian Sheet Metal for many years and were interested in acquiring another business.

They were familiar with Cook's Fence and wanted to continue the tradition of excellence that Mr. Cook had established. David Swanda was hired to manage the company and worked with Dick Cook to learn about the business. David continued to manage the business until he purchased the company in 1985. At that time, the name was changed to Cook's Fence & Iron Co Inc to more accurately reflect the company's mission.

For over 60 years, Cook's Fence has been an Oklahoma family business. Our current employees have over 175 years of combined service and offer our customers quality work, stability, and experience.
