At the age of 19, he came to Arizona and then served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.
After the war ended, James returned home with the goal of starting his own business.
Through hard work and practical wisdom, James founded Western Fence Company in 1947 and rose to prominence in the Arizona business world.
Throughout the second half of the 20th century, Western Fence Company became established as a leader in professional fencing and wholesale operations throughout Arizona.
