Fencing, as an individual sport, has natural social distancing built in. Our Learn to Fence Package is the perfect way to try the sport. We follow all CDC and OHA guidelines. Face coverings required. OFA is a warm and welcoming place for fencers of all ages and experience levels, from recreational to internationally competitive. Call or e-mail us, come visit, and experience sabre fencing.
Services
Led by longtime U.S. Olympic Sabre Fencing Coach Ed Korfanty, Oregon Fencing Alliance has helped hundreds of fencers of all ages, from 6 to over 60, pursue and achieve their fencing dreams at our Greater Portland-area fencing club.
Over the past two decades, our fencers have won Olympic medals, World Championships, National Championships and NCAA championships.
Dozens of our scholar-athletes have gone on to fence at prestigious Division I universities.
The Oregon Fencing Alliance is a non-profit organization created to encourage physical fitness, support a fencing club, establish and promote formal instruction in fencing throughout the community, and hire world-class coaches to train fencers for national and international competition.
OFA takes great pride in all of our student-athletes, many of whom have gone on to attend the most prestigious universities in the United States and other countries.
The club's coaches and its director of programs are committed to helping our fencers reach their highest academic and athletic goals.
Over the years dozens of OFA graduates have competed at the NCAA Division I level.
Below is a list of our graduates and the universities and colleges they attended.

She made the world championship national veteran's team multiple times.
You could be next.
OFA also hosts summer and winter camps for all levels, from beginning to elite fencers, who come to us from around the world.
We welcome visiting campers from other U.S. clubs and from other countries.
Head Coach Ed Korfanty and our talented assistant coaches provide intensive training at the advanced to elite level, or join us at camps offering skill-level appropriate fun and learning for younger fencers.
We also offer a number of Learn to Fence summer and fall camps for new and beginning fencers.
