Oregon Fencing Alliance is the Portland-area home to the fast, exhilarating sport of sabre, four-time Olympic medalist Mariel Zagunis, and longtime U.S. Olympic Sabre Coach Ed Korfanty. OFA welcomes fencers of all ages and is a fun, supportive place for everyone from beginning fencers to world-class athletes. Come join us! Fencing, as an individual sport, has natural social distancing built in. Our Learn to Fence Package is the perfect way to try the sport. We follow all CDC and OHA guidelines. Face coverings required. Led by longtime U.S. Olympic Sabre Fencing Coach Ed Korfanty, Oregon Fencing Alliance has helped hundreds of fencers of all ages, from 6 to over 60, pursue and achieve their fencing dreams at our Greater Portland-area fencing club.
Over the past two decades, our fencers have won Olympic medals, World Championships, National Championships and NCAA championships.
Dozens of our scholar-athletes have gone on to fence at prestigious Division I universities.
The Oregon Fencing Alliance is a non-profit organization created to encourage physical fitness, support a fencing club, establish and promote formal instruction in fencing throughout the community, and hire world-class coaches to train fencers for national and international competition.
