NEFA offers Affordable, High-Quality Fencing Classes for children, teens, and adults at both the recreational and competitive levels through the Arlington, Reading, Wakefield, and Winchester Recreation Departments. Michael Tarascio, a former member of the United States World Championship Team, is the Head Coach. Michael's philosophy on fencing is "Participate in fencing because it's fun."

I will set up appointments for you and your fencer in 15-minute slots for those who need rental fencing gear.
Fencers will be fitted for equipment.
Fencers will take the equipment home with them.
At the end of the last class, the deposit will be issued upon returning the fencing gear to Coach Michael.

I have had my son enrolled in New England Fencing Alliance for over 3 years.
My son started quite young and Coach Michael is a master at balancing both learning the sport of fencing and fun.
I can honestly say that this program builds fencing skills, personal growth, and character building.
I once again have signed up for another several sessions as this has now become a passion for my son and I am amazed at his growth in fencing and as a young man.
