Owner Gary Prato, who grew up in Armonk, NY, was taught from a young age how important it was to be hard working.
When he turned 18 he began working in the field of installing fences.
He attended college in Westchester, NY during which he spent the summers working as a laborer for a local fence contractor.
Gary enjoyed the fencing trade, especially the custom work, so much that after three years of college he decided to move on and start his own business.
Garon Fence Company was established in 1979 from simple beginnings.
When he turned 18 he began working in the field of installing fences.
