We produce many different sizes and lengths of building posts and utility poles for various applications. From 2" diameter tree stakes to 10" diameter accent logs for porches. The nail on rail is a great fence for strength and durability. If you are crowding animals against the fence or needing an area to work livestock, the nail on rail might be a good choice.

Mike backs up his product 100% unlike the big box stores. Of course, you can get posts somewhere else, but you're not going to get the customer service and quality you do at Parma Post and Pole. I've lived in Parma all of my life, it's a small, hometown community with a lot of good people. We care about quality, because we see many of our customers day after day.

That's what Parma Post and Pole is about. Thank you for visiting our web site and considering our products. We really appreciate it! We started in 1982 with my dad and one employee and now, 30 years later, we are shipping wood all over the US.Our goal remains the same: produce a quality product!
Services
Parma Post & Pole was started in 1982 by Walt Sterling.
He attended an auction and ended up coming home with a peeler, tenoner, driller and 1972 Pettibone loader.
Our family was officially in the post and pole business!
In the beginning it was difficult.
My father and mother worked all day at the pole yard and on nights and weekends we built fence to make ends meet.
Over the years the business grew and became more established in Southern Idaho.
In 1995 the call of the peeler was too much to ignore and my wife (Kristy) and I returned home to Parma to work at the pole yard.
Doweled Wood Fences, also known as Western Rail Fences, are made from high-quality pressure treated pine rounds that fit together using a doweled end fitted into a mitered socket.
Doweled Wood Fences are available in 2 rail, 3 rail and 4 rail configurations and are an attractive and durable improvement to your property, pasture, arena or stock pens.
The 2 rail is offered with a domed or rounded top for a more ornate and decorative look.
The line posts are 5' tall and 5.5" in diameter and the ends or corner posts are 5' tall and 6.5" in diameter.
Split Cedar Fences are a classic looking option that won't block the view.
Cedar is strong and durable and will last for years to come.
Cedar fencing is effective against insects and weather, making it a sound long-term investment.
This rustic option allows for flexibility in design and is easily repaired.
The cedar comes in line posts (holes all the way through), end posts (drilled ), and 90-degree corner posts.
When it comes to installing, we do not recommend using concrete to secure in the ground.
There are many options for fencing depending on your needs.
If you are needing an area to work livestock, or you are crowding animals against the fence, nail on rail may be an ideal choice.
There are many benefits to this type of fencing, including it's strength and durability.
You can also customize your build to accommodate your specific fencing needs.
Agricultural posts have a variety of uses.
They can be used as fence posts in agricultural areas or used to grow hops and other produce that requires vertical space.
It is to be noted that Idaho is a "fence-out" state, meaning it is up to the landowners to fence livestock out of their land in rural areas.
Our agricultural posts are versatile and can be used for nearly any application.
Smaller posts can be used to keep smaller livestock like chickens contained and others can be used to contain cows, or simply mark property lines.
