Split rail fence is timeless, beautiful and economical. It is the most popular fence in our area because it adds rustic charm to any property, serves many purposes, and has been around since colonial times. It adds distinction to your property and is very popular for use with horses and large animals as well as dogs and small pets (just add our welded wire).

We have several styles to choose from--traditional split rail (by far the most popular fence in our area), western red cedar, round post & rail as well as vinyl and wood board fences. The Split Rail Fence store is a local, family owned business, dedicated to giving you the best pricing in the market along with unrivaled customer service and expertise.

Whether you want to do it yourself or have us handle the project, the Split Rail Fence Store is there with you every step of the way.
Services
The Split Rail Fence Store is a local, family owned business.
We have stores in Montgomeryville and Phoenixville PA, and franchise stores in New Castle DE and Little Egg Harbor Township NJ.
Split rail and related fence types are our passion.
Because we are very focused, we have deep expertise in our fences and offer the lowest price in our market combined with unparalleled customer service.
Our traditional split rail fence is the most popular type of fence on the East Coast and we're one of the largest split rail dealers on the East Coast because of our low pricing, expert and friendly customer service, large inventory and top quality.
Split Rail comes either pressure treated or with long lasting locust posts that can be paired with natural (untreated) rails or pressure treated rails.
The standard size rails are 11' long for 10' 4 post spacing.
We are also one of the only split rail dealers to carry the economical 8' 6 rail for 8' post spacing.
11' rails make sections 10' 4" from center-to-center of the posts (you lose 8" due to overlap).
8' rails are cut long at 8 1/2' so they make sections that are 7' 10 to 8' from center-to-center of the posts.
Round Cedar rails are 10' long and make sections 9' 4" to 9' 6" from center-to-center of the posts.
If you know the dimensions of the area to be fenced, divide the total linear footage by the rail size (above) to get the number of sections.
You will need one post per section, plus a final post at the end, and 2 - 3 rails per section depending on whether you want 2 rail or 3 rail fence.
Split rail fence with welded wire is ideal for dogs.
It retains the timeless beauty of split rail fence while keeping your furry friends safely enclosed.
Unlike electronic fence, split rail does not fail due to power outages, battery issues or broken lines, and it does not shock your best friend.
Send us a picture of your dog with his or her fence and we'll include your photo on our "Doggie Wall of Fame."
Hint: For a good photo, have your dog sit or stand near the fence and take a closeup of your dog with the fence in the background.
