Originally a weaver of only galvanized chain link fabric, Swan now manufactures fused bonded and extruded bonded PVC coated chain link in a variety of colors and special sizes; as well as weaving many other types of wire like aluminized, stainless steel, and aluminum. The current president and general manager were originally employees of the parent company, Koiwa, the largest chain link manufacturer in Japan.

Koiwa wanted to establish a manufacturing plant in the United States, and set out to look for a suitable location. Sites were considered in Chicago, Houston, and San Francisco before settling on Los Angeles. The feeling was that Los Angeles offered the best location for growth and expansion. They named the new company "Swan Fence" after the Japanese city of Shiratori, where Koiwa is located.

The name Shiratori means "white bird" or "swan" in Japanese. As well as being known for producing a variety of stock and custom PVC chain link colors, Swan also specializes in manufacturing mini mesh; we can provide mesh sizes ranging from 1/4" up to 2".

Need high quality temporary fence panels, stands, and panel clamps for your next event or job site?
We have a large inventory of 6' x 10', 6' x 12', and 8' x 10' panels to meet your needs.
All panels are constructed with a sturdy 1-3/8" x 16GA tube frame with a 2-1/4" mesh and one vertical brace in the center.
Our panel stands are built with a 1-5/8 frame for increased durability.
Each stand can support two panels side-by-side, with the panels slipping in over the upright sections of the panel stands.
What does "Fused Bonded" mean?
Fused bonding is the process where PVC, or polyvinyl chloride, is thermally fused to a core steel wire to not only protect it, but also to create an outer layer with color.
In other words, the fused bonding process literally bakes the PVC onto the wire.
The PVC-coated wire is then woven into a chain link fence of various mesh sizes, heights, and colors.
The PVC-coating on fused bonded wire is thinner than extruded bonded wire (the other type of PVC-coated wire), yet it is tougher and more resistant to peeling.
Often called "extruded and bonded", this type of chain link fence features polyvinyl chloride, or PVC, that has been applied by pressure to a steel core wire coated with adhesive.
Our extruding process features the steel core wire traveling through the extruding machine, where the PVC is melted and compressed directly onto the heated adhesive under 5000 lbs of pressure to create a dense and impervious coating.
Our extruded bonded fence comes in the below 12 different standard colors.
For all your standard everyday projects, galvanized chain link fence is a product that has been a consistent choice for decades.
Galvanized chain link fencing is a low maintenance fence option that is valued for its cost-performance and durability.
All of our galvanized chain link fence is manufactured using GBW (galvanized before weaving) wire, which is first galvanized with a zinc coating before being woven into chain link fabric.
GBW wire features a smooth finish, lasts longer, and eliminates the zinc 'icicles' that can often form on the wires of GAW (galvanized after weaving) fences.
