We are a family owned business and have been servicing the Philadelphia area for over 50 years. Services
In 1954, the late Willard (Bill) Bishop, along with his brother, Robert, began as Bishop Brothers Logging in Kulpsville, PA.
A few years later the business expanded to include a sawmill which produced hardwood lumber for local industries and the surrounding farm community.
In 1970, the partnership between Willard & Robert was dissolved.
Willard continued the business by himself and in 1972, Willard and his son Michael became partners in the business and moved from Kulpsville to the current location at Schoolhouse & Nice Roads in Souderton, PA.
A few years later the business expanded to include a sawmill which produced hardwood lumber for local industries and the surrounding farm community.
In 1970, the partnership between Willard & Robert was dissolved.
Willard continued the business by himself and in 1972, Willard and his son Michael became partners in the business and moved from Kulpsville to the current location at Schoolhouse & Nice Roads in Souderton, PA.
Mulch comes from various sources, and not all mulch is the same.
While other companies may use recycled items or ground leftovers, Bishop's mulch comes from sawmills or land clearing operations, rather than recycled products.
This keeps them free from by-products which aren't always the best for your yard.
Our Premium Triple Ground Bark Mulch is from sawmills where bark mulch is made as part of the process in manufacturing hardwood lumber.
The bark makes an excellent mulch which retains moisture and adds valuable nutrients to the soil of your garden and flower beds.
